How Can I Read the Current Articles From The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal or The Washington Post?

I want to be able to read the current issue of some of the newspapers SCC gets through the database U.S. Major Dailies. What do I need to search to get to today's articles?

Answer

At 8am, each day the current day's articles are added to the U.S. Major Dailies databases. All SCC Employees and Students have access to this database on and off-campus using their SCC email address and portal password.

To see the most recent 7 days of articles, you can copy and paste the links listed below into a browser of your choice. You then can bookmark it, so you check the newspaper on daily basis by going back to the bookmark.

Articles usually be listed with the current days first, but to be sure change the sort. On the left, there is a "Sorted By" that you should change from "Relevance" to "Most Recent First."

These links expire on July 31, 2024 and will be updated then, so you will need to get the updated links.

The New York Times Link (Current 7 Days): https://go.openathens.net/redirector/sccsc.edu?url=https://www.proquest.com/search/2428231?accountid=5079

The Wall Street Journal Link (Current 7 Days): https://go.openathens.net/redirector/sccsc.edu?url=https://www.proquest.com/search/2428232?accountid=5079

The Washington Post Link (Current 7 Days): https://go.openathens.net/redirector/sccsc.edu?url=https://www.proquest.com/search/2428235?accountid=5079

You can also use "Modify search" to change the Publication Date from Last 7 days to: Last 30 days, Last 3 Months, Last 12 Months, Last 3 Years, On This Date, After or Before this Date, or a Specific Date Range.
