I need my paper reviewed.
Can someone look over my paper?
Answer
For Spartanburg Community College students, the library will review papers/projects and annotated bibliographies, providing feedback on use of sources/plagiarism, quality of sources, and citation format (MLA/APA citations and in-text citations). To request a review, submit the document to our Ask a Librarian form. Please include the citation style (MLA or APA) required and the due date. There is usually less than a 24 hour turn around with the exception of weekends or college closures/holidays; however response times can vary depending on how many reviews we've received.
For writing reviews, including spelling, grammar, sentence/paper structure, thesis development, outline content, etc. contact the English tutors at the TLC (tutoring center). There are a couple of options to contact an English tutor:
- Visit the TLC in-person at Giles or other campuses. Visit the TLC Page for hours and English tutor availability.
- Virtual tutoring 24/7 is available through NetTutor (link found on the TLC Page or in D2L)
- Email your paper to them at askatutor@sccsc.edu. They offer a 48 hour turn-around on papers (excluding weekends and holidays), and ask that you send a copy of the assignment as well. The paper needs to be Microsoft Word format (don't share a copy of your OneDrive/cloud account), and please include your due date and SCC college ID number in the email. Grammatical errors are noted generally for student correction.
You will also find some writing & grammar guidance from the Writer's Reference Center database.
